Food Trip (January-March 2012)

Food. Food. Food. We eat everyday but once in a while we eat something special. Here are some of the memorable eats I had in the first quarter of the year.

 For the New Year, many Cebuanos celebrate it with Lechon in their tables. Lechon is the No.1 party dish in Cebu. We were lucky to feast on one during this year's new year's eve.

On our trip to Barili, Cebu, I was able to taste the ice cream made at Molave Milk Station. I really enjoyed it.

Passing through Carcar City, we stopped by chicharon store and saw some hot chicharon being cooled.  Obviously, they cannot pack it while it is hot.

The famous the Torta de Tuba in Argao.  We actually went to Argao to meet the maker of this favorite local delicacy.

Amazing Argao

Argao is a town 68 kilometers south of Cebu City.  Founded in 1608,  it is an one of the oldest towns in the Philippines.  The town is known for its beach resorts, and products, like Torta de Tuba and tableya.  It is a very clean town and the the Argawanons are committed in making Argao, one of the most tourist friendly towns in the country.  Here are some of the pictures we took in our last visit there:

Christmas 2012

We are approaching the midpoint of the year. It is good time to look back the past 6 months.  For me, it is time to post some pics from a few months ago.  Christmas is always best celebrated with family and the family dog.  It was Mocha's (our dog) first Christmas ever.  Unlike other dogs, she wasn't bothered much with the sound of the fireworks. Our new red sofa looks good in the pics. ;)

Model Houses at Aspen Heights Subdivision

Fun at Papa Kit's

Papa Kit's Marina and Fishing Lagoon has become one of the most visited leisure spots in Liloan, Cebu.   The establishment became famous of its zipline and its fishing area. You can call +63-32-3611630 or +63-32-42449501 for more information.

You can catch some fish here like milkfish (bangus) for lunch!

Mocha: Our new dog!

It has been over a year since we last had a dog at home. The last 2 dogs that we had were Sassy and Lobo who both weeks apart around 2 years ago. My wife and I love dogs. An opportunity to own a new dog arrived when the caretaker of the school where my wife works found puppies another the school's gazebo. There were 3 of them and my wife chose the female dog. We named her, Mocha because of her color. Here is a look back of Mocha's first few weeks with us.
